250th Anniversary History
"General George Washington wrote in his diary that without the strategy of Peter Francisco in outwitting the British they would have lost three key battles and possibly the entire cause of the American Revolution." Our ancestor, Colonel William Curd fought beside Washington gave land to Francisco following the war to establish a Blacksmith shop in the Village of Curdsville located in Buckingham County, Virginia.
